Slow power windows
Is it normal for the power windows to raise slowly on a 85 Vette? Both windows raise at a slow speed. Looks normal but just wanted to know if any other 85 owners have this same situation.
Clean off the old grease and apply some fresh moly lube.

That's typical for the 84 and 85 cars since they had the ribbon style regulators. As mentioned, you can clean the channels of the gunked up grease and relube. If you are tired of the slowness you can upgrade to the later style. I does require a pair of new or used window regulators with motors. Drill another hole or two, reverse the wiring on one of the motors and you'll really have to get your arm out of the way when the window rolls up. They are an excellent and very noticeable improvement. You can find used ones on fleabay.

I haven't done it (yet) but I've heard of other GM vehicles solving this by installing a relay to provide higher amperage to the winder motor. 'Bit cheaper than the late model swap.....
