Default 4l60e to zf6 swap problems

I just finished a zf six speed in place of a 4L60e swap. It's mostly good but I can't get the speedometer to read. Does anyone know if the signal from the VSS of these two is the same or different?
The PCM was reprogramed and now one of the VSS inputs is graounded through the PCM. Sound right?
Thanks in advance.

If the ZF6 is earlier than 94 the speed sensor will be different.

It's a 96. It's a different part number than the VSS that was in the 4l60, but has the same electrical connector. Also, the wiring diagrams that I bought for the Vette, indicate that it is a permanent magnet signal generator, same as the one in the 4l60.
The pins in the PCM are labeled VSS signal high and VSS signal low. When I checked the wiring, the signal low line showed a low resistance ground, so I assumed that I had grounded the wire during the swap. Instead, I found that the PCM is grounding that input. That does'nt seem right to me. I would have thought that the low and high would be a closed loop to the pcm and speedometer. Is this a normal condition?

Sorry, can't help with the wiring issue I don't have a book showing the 94 and up speed sensor diagnostics. The wiring diagram I have shows the two wires labeled as you indicate at the PCM with no other information given.

Thanks, toptechx6.
I'm going to call the programer today to see if he can shed some light on the subject.
