I want a set of headers for my car, long tubes and I found several but they are $1100.00 a set ?? Is there a reasonably priced alternative out there ?? $1100.00 for a set of headers is
Smooth flow something, looked really nice but damn $1100.00 bucks for headers You could really spend alot of $$ with even $700.00 headers and a $1000.00 cat back plus hi flow cats. There's gotta be a reasonable alternative.
b.t.w. I am not buying a $1000.00 cat back just pointing out how over priced the Corvette items are.

There is not to many alternatives. From what i have read, the stock LT1 cat back flows very well. Cat backs are going to run you lots of $$ no matter what you get.
You can always buy a set of long tube headers and use the stock cat back and throw in some muffler elims for a loud system. Other than that plan on spending some cash.
I think Exotic Muscle has a group purchase going on now for $671.00.
IMO It is the best LT1 header for the money. Nice fit & ceramic coated. I installed a Dr. Gas X-pipe behind my headers & then attached to a power effects rear section.
Bottom line .... Buy good quality products or end up wishing that you did.
Yes, I ended up spending over a grand but several years of abuse later evrything still looks almost new & sounds better than any C4 on the planet.

I am really happy with my EM LT's. Once everything is added up you may end up spending more than $1100. I did and I kept my 2.75" pipes. I have the EM long tubes with extensions, stage 8 bolts, O2 sim, felpro gaskets, pipe clamps, X-pipe, and muffler's removed. I reused the exhaust tips so that doesn't include new ones. You may want to include a retune with that. Also add in labor for exhaust work, which won't be cheap. Make sure they drop the exhaust and weld everything up well, if you take it to an exhaust shop for pipe work. One shop tried doing the x-pipe without removing the exhaust and it started to leak on top after a few months. I had to have it completely redone by someone else.
