any feedback on header/plug fitment issues? (for pre LT1 Vette)
AFR210CPs work well with my puny cam on my '87 L98. Header/ plug fitment is tight, but no denting required even when using the Jacobs ceramic boots.
I did have a bit more work done on them back in '04/early '05 when I had the engine apart for other work. Utilize 1206FP. Thick decks work great with large boost.
TPIS 1-3/4" headers. They really need a 1206FP intake gasket, but if you must use a smaller gasket, at least it is in the right direction. I am using the 76cc combustion chambers to help with the compression with the larger cubes. When I bought mine, they were available at 56cc for the same cost.
They are really nice heads. Prior I was running the TPIS/AFR 195s.
ol"RJ has TPIS headers with his older AFR210's and they fit well, I think only his # 6 is "sort of" close.
I have older AFR210's with my Hooker 2151's (1-3/4") and I had to cut the #3 and #6 header tubes off at the flange and reshape & reweld them with new tubes to get them far enough away from the header for my liking.
