In preparation for winter storage of my car I had some work done i.e. oil chg, coolant chg and replacement of my fuel filter. All went well till I looked on the drivers side of the car beneath the door and I saw a hose hanging there. Place I had the work done said that they didn't notice it and they doubted that it was there from anything they did. I am not sure where the fuel filter actually is located but I know they had to remove some stuff to get at it. The hose looks like it may be coming from the gas tank. Would they have disturbed it to replace the fuel filter? There is a bracket that is bolted right above where the hose is hanging. It looks to me like the hose belongs above the bracket to secure it and thus you wouldn't see it. I am wondering if the bracket needed to be removed to replace the fuel filter. Trust me it wasn't hanging before I had the work done. I want them to fix it but they are saying they would have to charge me and I feel that is BS . If you know what is involved to replace the fuel filter I would love to hear from you. My car is an 1994, LT1, automatic trans. Thanks
It is not the fuel filetr that I thought I was seeing it is a hose that I believe is a fuel line. If the fuel filter is on the passengers side that bracket I talkes about in my orig post crosses over that to that side.
on my vette (89) all fuel is on passenger side. I belive it is brake lines on driver side. On mine also the rear emergengy brake cables runs down driver side also. Good luck!
