Default Headers & Oxygen Sensors

When changing to long tube headers on my 93 LT1, do I need to change to heated O2sensors?

Thanks!

I have a '94 and I didn't use heated 02 sensors. I had 02 bungs welded halfway down the collectors and installed the stock pre-cat 02 sensors in them. I had PCMforless delete the post cat 02 sensor then I just unclipped it from the wiring harness. This is for a no cat setup. It works great and I really liked the tune from PCMforless.

Some folks have a problem with staying in open loop, especially at idle, with a non-heated sensor. A heated sensor is no a big deal so I put one in along with the headers. Try it unheated if heated is required you can always add one.

FYI: 94's have heated o2 sensors, and the one rear o2 sensor can be removed without a retune.

Where is the best place to pick up power for the heated sensors?

Joe

Obviously has to be from the switchable side of the ignition circuit otherwise it's on all the time. spliced mine into the blue wire that plugs into the alternator(blue, brown, red to plug)
