that great wow you really must have that thing running great.2 1/2 seconds faster with basically a stock engine that takes some talent and know how.are you planing any major mods for the engine in the future? that would be great to see how fast you can go in a cfi .
No mods for this engine. It's tired. I exaggerated. It is closer to two seconds than two and a half, around 2 1/4. I have the replacement engine on the stand, I have for a couple of years. I just can't figure out how I'm going to feed it. The Crossfire won't do it, and I really would like to keep it a Crossfire. The wheels are turning.

It is a 2600 RPM stall Vigilanti. If I recall correctly the converter was good for six tenths. Well over half of what I've spent on modifications and improvements are in that converter. Without the converter I've spent $500.00 to $600.00 on pieces parts.

RACE ON!!!
Thanks for the info. That's the next thing I'm looking to change on my 87. That should keep me in the 13s all thru the Summer.
Mine only burns a quart of oil every 500 miles.

I can't go much past 450 miles on a tankful so I stop and fill the oil and check the gas. It doesn't seem to burn it quite as bad on the cruise control as it does at the drag strip. The farthest *I* have ever driven it, in one stretch, is to Bracket Finals in Tucson and in Sonoma. Both were just about 850 miles, each way.
