B&M Shifter ?
Everything's running great, and I can't stand the prosperity.
Are these new short throw shifters worth putting in?
I don't race or beat on it, but I enjoy the whole experience. Any thoughts on the Ripper or B&M or whatever?
The advantages seem to be short, positive throws, but how much shorter, how much better, or is it just for the track? The ZF 6sp seems to be fine, in my opinion, but I'm wondering, wtf, and if it's better and more fun, I'll put it in.
Let me know your thoughts.
The Hurst people say it's a better quality piece and a bunch of B.S. The B&M people will tell you that it has a shorter throw than the Hurst, etc. My advice would be to try and drive them both, and find out for yourself which one you like more. Personally I think the B&M in a Corvette is the best shifter of ANY car I've ever driven. But that's just my opinion (although it doesn't matter, I'll get flamed anyway)
