Default clutch slave question

I replaced the original MC and slave on my 92 about 18 months ago and the slave has been leaking for several months. I finally took it off today and took it apart. As I expected the seal is backwards. Have any of you had any luck putting one back together with the seal turned around or am I better off buying another one?
Thanks

For what this is worth... When I replaced the clutch on my 95, I installed the slave and missed the TOB fork. Of course the first time I hit the clutch pedal, the rod popped out.

I took the slave back off, and put the rod back in. It worked for about 2 days. Then I lost pressure. I found a good replacement unit at the local advance auto. It was metal just like the factory unit. Works great.

sent my slave to the zfdoc, very reasonable price and quick turn around.

So did I. Send him an email and ask if he is still repairing new units, he may not be doing this any longer.

When I bought mine a year ago for my '92, the seal was also put on the wrong way. I turned it around and it's been working ever since.
No big deal really.

Default Success!!!!!

Just thought I'd report that the seal reversal and reinstall works great. I even had the C4 gods looking over me for the bleeding process. I filled the slave and forced the fluid back up the line to the master and it worked without further bleeding. Yeeehawwww!
