please no more!
im having problems with the 4+3 again! it wont turn on when i press the switch? its a new switch too, and it turns on by itself sometimes when im cruising? it seems electrical to me, can some one help me out, and please do not suggest i buy a new one!

Does it turn on after you shift? The switch is easily depressed by the button and rod above it when shifting. The mechanism relies on the return spring inside the switch and this spring is too weak to insure it doesn't get activated when shifting. That could be your problem, it is mine! Mine wore in enough so that it rarely shifts into OD when I shift into another gear, but at first it did it all the time and I was planning to install a separate return spring. You need to verify that the switch is working properly, and if it is and is not closing during normal shifting, then you may have a problem with the OD and it can be overhauled.
