I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but I always forget, I was working under the hood of my car just now and remembered to post it.
On either headlight is a nipple with ridges, it looks like to hold a hose on. My '85 had it and my '87 has them. I've seen newer cars that also have this, I can't think of any cars newer than 1992, but I think headlights were the same 1984-1996.
Anyways, to me, this looks like a vacuum accuator that Cheby never hooked up when they found out that the electric motor worked better, they went to it without redesigning the case.
Or is that a water drain?
This has been buggin me for a while. :) Thanks for any insight. :)
I have those same "hose connector" looking things, no clue what they are. I've had the motors apart to install new gears, and they go to nothing. There really is no need for a water drain as the motors are sealed shut with a silicon bead, but who knows.....
