Default L98 starting issues. Help!

hi guys, i wish my first post wasnt like this but heres my problem.

the car is an 86 l98 all stock. i bought the car over the summer and drove it for a while until the heater core began to leak . i got a used relpacement , it leaked , so then i ordered a new one. its in, should be fine. anyways my point is over the past few months while waiting for parts the car has been sitting ,
i decided i would do some minor mods while it was out of comission so i removed the AIR system and put on some egr block off plates, coolant bypass, slightly ported the intake plenum and cleaned the throttle body.

now a few months later, everythings put back together and i try to start it and it cranks great, fires for a second and shuts right off. after a few attempts it cranks and revs instantly then shuts off.

i checked the tps and set it to .54v but im really lost as to where to go from here.
im assuming its related to something ive done. but from what ive read, the AIR system should affect it .
i was confused however about vaccum line routing under the plenum after the air gear was out of the way. i just made a jump from the fpr to the tb which appeard to be next in line after the air systems

any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Sounds to me like the fuel pump is failing perhaps.

After you eliminated the AIR system, your vacuum should go from FPR straight to the port on rear of plenum. The port beside that one, should head off to check valve at back of motor.
Now there is a vacuum port on lower drivers side of TB that goes to the EGR solenoid. You removed the EGR, did you plug the port on TB ?? Or is that where you put your FPR vacuum line ??

thanks alot Agent 86. the advise about vaccum line routing was what i needed. i should have been able to figure it out by just looking at the sticker on the rad cover because it clearly shows it there.
i also made another big mistake of forgetting to reinstall the IAT under the plenum so ther would have been quite an air leak there.

bottom line is the car runs now . thanks for the help
