I finally got the richmond 3.54 ring and pinion ,new bearings, etc.. installed. I feel like I put a 100HP shot dry kit. I upgraded from stock 2.59 and now it launches like you wouldn't believe. I purchased the right cable and the LT1 software and changed my rear end ration on the PCM. What I need some advise on is how to correct my shift points, firmness and POSSIBLY the TC stall speed. I have the AT4 which is rock solid. Does anyone out there have any experience with LT1 edit and more importantly can someone give me some help on understanding some of the settings. Obviously, being in the networking and programming business for the past 11 years has not helped a bit when it comes to the PCM data. Great software and I recommend it to all but if you've never used it then bad things can happen. I figured I fixed my speedometer issue after the rear end swap, I can do this...."with a little help from my friends". I would appreciate any feedback or even none at all.
Sorry-I havn't used lt1edit; ask me 'bout 32 to 8d tdf's and I could help. But check out thirdgen.org then go to diy-prom section. There's lotsa folk there that self tune- I'm sure some are working with lt1edit. There's even talk of the latest ls1edit coming out-Amazing! GM releasing the code!
They hummed for the first 700 miles or so then it went away. I was told this was just a normal wear in period. Steve Ashworth Performance did them for me. Steve's a great guy and if NASCAR sends him engines then I trust him. I suggest any of the Wilmington corvette club members get a hold of him. Fair prices and excellent workmanship. He just hired a guy from Lingenfelter. Thanks for some of the input. I will check out some of the other news groups. AND yes, the LS1_Edit package will be out soon. Carputing, where I got LT1_Edit already has a beta version of LS1_Edit. Safe driving everyone. I will be sure to post any info I learned about LT1_Edit for any members who may use it in the future. There is definately a learning curve. I also found a place that you can get free PCM's from. Send them $175.00, they will send you a new PCM. Mail them your old one and they will refund full amount.

I have been using LT1 Edit for about 2 years now. I do not have any real experience an auto with shift pressures, and shift points. I would recommend putting this question out on the LT1` Edit list. There is also a vault of programs on a site. I cannot remember the address but it is an F-Body guy who keeps them up on his site. Take a few programs from there and look at how they adjusted the line pressures and shift points.
