what size headers are you guys using
Right now I have some poor fitting headmans......1 5/8 inch primarys....they've worn a hole in my fuel line so off they come.......two questions
I'm at about 550 to 600 hp at the crank.....thinking of up grading to a d1 procharger for more boost.........should I go with 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 primarys? also I might just leave it at 10 psi boost.
do the ceramic coated headers really keep the engine bay cooler...I know they look better, but with my garage queen I'll never rust them out.
one more question ...I don't see anyone offering 1 7/8 inch primarys for an 85....only 1 3/4

For boost applications you want to go bigger.
I use 1-3/4" and 2-1/2" to magnaflow mufflers.
My dyno curve peaks at 4800 with small exhaust.
if I had to do it again, I would have gone with 1-7/8 X 3"
Boost is different. If you have a 350 CI engine on 7.5# boost then it will need exhaust like a 525 CI engine.
1-7/8" headers ars still too small for a 525 but its the bigest thing we can get .
I bought my 1-3/4" from Stainlessworks. They are a nice set but took about 6 weeks to get them.
Check "TPIS" they should have 1-7/8" for you ride.

I have the Stahl ,they are expensive and at 1 7/8 3 collecter you can,t fit any bigger and have them clear the frame.
Mine are coated and still run hot ,it didn't change a thing under the hood but it did lighten my pocket by $1500 bucks
If you have an auto they will cook the trans on the pass side.
