Supercharge a Super Ram?

Re: Supercharge a Super Ram? (GRX)
I have heard that you can not put too much boost to the SuperRam because the lid loses it seal. You can buy a Billet Lid to help this problem. I don't know what the boost pressure a SR can take, but I would guess it would ok for 6/8 psi, but not 12psi.

I ran my sc with the superram for quite some time. Max boost that I saw was in the 11 psi range. No sealing issues whatsoever. Now, nitrous backfires are another story, let's not go there!
BTW, I did not run the billit lid. A picture of the sc and the SR can be seen on the forum site by clicking on my name.
Best of Luck,
Aaron

AKS, I checked out your web site! Very sweet looking engine! Seems like you must pull some super hot air into your SC with the K&N sitting right on top of the header though! Have you found this to be a problem?

THanks on the compliment. I know that the website is only partially done, but the pics give you an idea of my previous combo. But, if you think that was nice, wait till I get the new combo pics posted.
As for the heat, I have moved the aircleaner up to above the valvecover. This is a temporary solution. I already have the Optima battery, and am looking at relocating to the rear (under the tunnel) and placing the air inlet in the old battery location. Still in the planning phase.
Thanks,
Aaron

I wonder if you couldn't remove the panel that covers the suspension components and pull cooler air from in there?
(I've also seen cooling kits that mounts electric fans there and pull the hot air OUT thru the wheel wells.)
Awesome setup, AKS!
