Default Wheel and Tire advice needed

I have a '96 with Goodyear F1 GS-D3 255/40/17" fronts and 285/40/17" rears mounted on Z06 oem 17" x 9.5" chrome wheels.
I have just purchased a set of 315/35/17" Goodyears that a friend had on a Cobra with 17" x 10" Bullit wheels - (killer deal with less than 500 miles).
Has anyone tried to mount a 315/35/17" on a 9.5" wheel, they looked fine on the 10" Bullits.
I'd like to put the 285's on the front and the 315's on the rear and not have to buy new rims.
I haven't seen the Z06 wheels in a 17"x11", only the ZR1's and GS's, and worst case I'd prefer to only have to buy 2 wheels to match mine.
Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

Try it and see. Worst cases it's mount and dismount 4 tires.

I don't think there is any way a 315 will go on the 9.5

I have 315's, and even on an 11" rim, they bulge slightly.

Your best bet would be to just buy the wheels and tires I have for sale.
