Default Super Ram Accel Base question....Pictures..

There's three threaded holes in the front of the intake manifold base.

One is for the sensor, one is for a 3/4 hose fitting.

WTF goes in the third?

Thanks.

The early model TPI cars had an additional sensor installed in the third threaded hole. It might have been for the cold start injector. I'm sure someone will chime in.

There were two temp sensors, IIRC. One was for whether the cold-start injector was to fire.

The injector itself would have been on the side of the manifold, but there's no provision for it on any of the Accel bases that I've seen.

The three holes all seem to be water passages of some sort.

There's only one lead for electrical connections, and that's already there.

I believe one goes to the throttle body if I remember correctly. The 3/4 inch one anyway.

The other has the sensor.

The third, I'm lost....

They are right next to where the fuel line bolts to the manifold.

Without all that AIR crap, nothing looks the same.

I think, not sure, that 90s didn't have a cold start injector. So you would'nt have anything from the old manifold to fill the whole. Just get a threaded plug, put on a little teflon tape and screw it in.

If I remember correctly, there were SR runners that did allow the use of the cold start valve, thus the third hole in base. I polished up a brass plug for that hole.

That's what I did. My original manifold had that passage plugged so I plugged it on the ACCEL. I always suspected that the F cars had a need for an additional coolant access point.

The early C4 cold-start injector system had its own sensor - that's what the other water-passage one is for.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

I bought this used and the instructions I downloaded are silent on the issue.

You can go into any large hardware store or most auto parts stores and buy the brass plug you need for less than a couple bucks.
