funny you found this. i've worked with this dude a few weeks ago. this car is his daily driver. the thing is unreal - nothing under that hood is stock. can't remember who the engine builder was, but it's a real trick setup - twin turbos. i remember seeing the mph on his time sheets from the track: 151.
as for the designer/owner, really great guy. good to see he gets the press he deserves...

Good grief, look at all that custom fabrication...!
Part of my shop is a really good weld shop, our guys can do just about anything with a weld...all that custom work is big money.
There's no way he keeps tires on that thing...

Wait wait wait.... it is 1300 HP on pump gas. I think he said he could replace the fans in the turbos for some higher boost and run race gas to make it "capable" of 1700 HP. But then again..... when you're talking that much....., WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? :D :D :D

I Can only imagine what that thing must sound like. I used to own a 1500 HP TT Dutty Tubbed Mustang(7.57@180 best). It was pretty nasty at idle...I can only wonder what this one sounds like! Love those headers.

That car is awesome. I saw it a couple of months ago. One of the guys mentioned in the article, Chuck Samuels, is a co-owner of Fast Times Motorworks, where I have my machine work done. We were discussing this car as a model for my current project of converting my car to intercooled twin turbo's. I'm using the same, block, 18* heads, custom Hogan's sheetmetal intake manifold, and SpeedPro Sequential Wide Band -same as Meaney's car - except mine is a SBC427. I'm replacing the pistons, bumping the compression down, with another set of custom JE's and swapping the cam for another custom Comp mechanical roller. Should be sone by April - dyno's to come.
