Re: LT-4 Hot Cam Kit (MVR 155)
Other than the hardware mods for the Hot Cam (Cam, Rockers, etc), what other mods are required (ECM-wise and injectors)? Is the a sizeable improvement in performance with other mild bolt-ons (headers, cat-back exhaust, open filter lid, etc)?
I'm thinking about it for my LT4, OR the low-price '95 LT1 I have my eye on.

Re: LT-4 Hot Cam Kit (69L71)
I picked up some 44 hp with the hot cam and rockers. As I stated earlier, some of that is due to the electric water pump I did at the same time, but still a healthy gain.
It really helped my car feel like it got a swift kick in the pants, now everything else I do is even better, the headers honestly feel like they gave me another 44, but I'm sure they didn't. Anyway, I would say it's well worth it.
As for the ECM, I got a custom chip from Ed Wright, it runs great. It is supposed to run with the stock chip, but I can't say how well. I haven't been curious enough to pull Ed's chip and find out.
I got the cam alone from Dal at Van Devere Olds for $180 or so I thought it was a good price. I don't remember the phone number but I could find it if needed.
