1987 L98 distributor cap spark sequence
I need the firing order sequence rotation for my distributor cap. I know what order the it is coming from the block but where do the wires sit on the cap to idle smoothly? My Hayes Manual doesn't show. It just shows an arrow in a clockwise motion on the distributor. I am currently idling at 8 to 9k rpms when it should be 6 to 7. It has a rough idle and when I put the AC on it seems to bog up and down badly. I just redid my intake manifold leak and may have crossed some wires when putting back together.

Are you sure you got all the vacuum pipes back on correctly? A leak would raise the idle and make it surge. Also did you disconnect the timing advance wire when you retimed it and checked the TPS switch voltage.If you have the plug wires mixed up it should bang and sputter when you rev it.
