Help! Tachometer doesn't work
I think we've isolated the problem. The Haynes Manual states there is a wire lead going to the distributor cap. We've taken the distributor off and there is no wire going to it, and we've pulled everything out of the way to try to find the wire-- with no luck. Getting really frustrated with it
Where is this wire? Where does it originate from, and does anybody know the color or anything distinctive about it?
It's off an 86.

There are 2 wires going to the Dist., one is pinkish (Bat+), and the other is white (Tach). See if it fell down betgween the firewall and motor.
