Corteco head gaskets any good ?
just wandering your thoughts of " corteco" head gaskets ,are they any good please ?
i have a set in 0.29" that i brought from tpis and just wandering what your thoughts are as far as quality/performance ?
are they as good as the felpro race head gaskets?
also when building a worked engine, is it worth while and good idea to install arp head studs or just arp head bolts ?
0.29 " thickness is going to give me good compression isnt it ?
the bore size measurement on this head gaskets measure 4.136 " and the forged light weight short skirt pistons are 4.060"
is 0.29" too thin and may produce problems and blow out ?
hope to hear some advise on this please.

That is a link to a good compression ratio calculator. You need to know what your pistons are, like -5cc flat tops or -13cc dish or +5cc dome. I have heard good about corteco gaskets but have no personal experience with them. If they are steel shim I'd coat them on both sides with a spray copper made for head gaskets. If they are rubber coated or composite then I'd install them dry. Definitely get the combustion chamber CC of the heads and the CC of the pistons and use the calculator to make sure your compression isn't too high.
