Where did the horses go. I started with about 600rwhp@5600rpm. Did some work on the car ,installed a Delteq system and lost about 27rwhp. Thought the car like me was getting old and put it out of my mind. Late this year I pulled the CC305 cam and replaced it with a 224/236 @600lift. Now I've lost even more power.
The Delteq appears to be a good system. The service rep once drove 7 hrs to cure a system problem. I am not rapping Delteq. However has any one else experienced this?
Perhaps the cylinder psi is too high for the Delteq? Were talking a 383 with 9.2 compression and a Vortech T trim pushing 16 lbs@5300rpm.
This thing puts out 552rwhp and 558 lbs of torque@ 5200rpm and dies. Fuel pressure is about 64lbs. There is a rev kit on it so I don't question the valve springs. The opti is about dead so swapping back for a quick check isn't an option.
This combination with 8 lbs boost should put out the same rwhp I now have. Any thoughts based on past experience would be greatlt appreciated.
There are 6 or 7 people on this board who may be familiar with this problem. Do I have to revert to an upscale Opti with a CD ignition and dump the Delteq??? This thing quits at 5 grand and wont rev any higher.
