Balancer ?

Balancer ?

Will a 7 inch ATI Balancer clear my front crossmember in my 84 or do I have to go with the 6 inch ? I'm going to order it tonight. THANKS Pipe

Stock is about 6 3/4".
I would just buy the 6 3/8"ATI one to save the possibility of having to beat the clearance in the X member..

I'm not sure if they make a 6 3/8 Balancer. I saw in their Catalogue they have a 6 and 7 inch. I'll have to go back and look THANKS Pipe

Pipe....nothing wrong with a 6" ATI or Fluid Damp. I run the latter and as long as the motor is internally balanced you will be fine with either. The ATIs are a little more expensive and I did some research and posted it a LONG time ago. The ATIs do not work as well in the lower rpms, below 6500, but shine above that.......however the difference is very little and doesn't really matter.

Jesse thanks for the reply I knew you had the right answer. I thought you would have a good Balancer on your car. How's the Straight Axle bolt in project coming? THANKS if both 6 and 7 inch both will fit I think i'll go with the 7 inch. A few more small items and the 383 will be complete Pipe
