Default Installing Windshield Weathestripping

Hey, I just bought new weatherstripping for my windshield pillars, and I was wondering if anybody knows how to put it in. Is there anything I should know before I go and do it? Is it a big job? I was thinking I just need to clean where it goes, and glue the new one down. Thanks.

I use silicone RTV for weatherstripping. The other stuff gets hard after a while. RTV stays rubbery forever. Good for fixing damaged weatherstriping too.
