65 sounds a little high for aluminum. I dont want to sound mean, but you really really should pickyou up a factory service manual. You can pick them up off eBay for about half price. Be sure that Helm, inc is the publisher. Sorry, I am at work or I would look it up for you, but 65 sounds high.

Anybody else know? I could have swore that it was in my Haynes manual. Now I have it all apart and no damn numbers. The last time I did it I am almost certain it was about 60 something. But I'm thinking that I should confirm before I break something. appreciate any help

Assuming yours is an LT-1 (J Code), here are the specs:

MAP sensor bracket-to-plenum screws = 89 InchPounds
Throttle body-to-plenum screws = 19 FootPounds
Throttle body extention-to-plenum screws = 53 InchPounds
Ignition module-to-plenum screws = 89 InchPounds
Intake plenum bolts = 19 Foot Pounds

Hope this helps.

Norm.

My '92 FSM states intake manifold bolts/studs for LT1 engine first pass in sequence is 8 N*m [71 LB. in. (THAT's INCH NOT FOOT)].
Second and final in sequence is 26 N*m [19 lb. ft. (now it's FOOT NOT INCH)].

It your torque wrench is set with metric go with that.
