Well it's time to find how a speed-density, thru-the-mail chipped, 160 stat'd, lpe cammed lt1 does against ohio's oh so enjoyable dyno emissions test. Interested in how the numbers will compare to stock numbers from 2 years ago. Heading out now, wish me luck ;) ...

you may be surprised!
When I got my '85, I had it smogged right away. A year later, I put in a new motor, 160 stat, mild cam, 24# Ford injectors, 52mm BBK, and free flowing exhaust. That year it smogged even better than the year before. I'm sure some of it was due to the new motor, but it ran really clean.
