You won't find one. And it'll screw up your center console.
Actually that is not true. We used to sell a complete T56 swap for the C3's. The only reason we don't anymore is because we cannot get our hands on new Viper T56's. The Viper T56 is the perfect candidate for this swap as the shifter is easily relocated to come out thru the original hole in the console and there was no modification needed to the tunnel. Of course, you'll need a new cross member or modify the one you already have.
anesthes has it right in his 5th post here. The parts he listed will work just fine.
I was avoiding the T56 swap(which I prefered over the ZF-6 that I am now planning on doing) because I was told that my speedometer won't work on my digital dash with a T56 in my 87. But no one has mentioned that so far? That is correct info right?
Stubbs, that's the first I've heard of that one. Dakota Digital makes a converter to adjust pretty much any digital VSS output to match pretty much any dash. Long as the T56 you're using has a digital output, two wire, I'm sure you could convert it to the right pulses.

The T56 VSS is a weird one. You need the dakota digital converter. It does add to the price of the T56 swap.
I don't think Keisler sells such a bracket. Pro street does. Pro street (i think) is also a Keisler reseller for the C3 TKO kit. (tom mentioned something like that to me a while back).
The T5/T56 stuff is def "diy". THe Keisler stuff works on the first try.
The ZF6 is a nightmare.
Now that I've done both, and had it apart numerous times, I think I can consider myself informed.
Keisler makes a nice trans. We just installed a Keasler 5 speed into a 66 vette with a 502 big block. He got his trans from Classic Chevrolet on the west coast. The only change I would made is to use a two pc bell housing.
If you want to keep your cost down on a C4 trans swap, I would go with the T-5. Pro Street makes a braket for that swap also.

..... Most of the T56's use an electronic output. Our customers who are using digital guages, typically, Dakota, classic instruments, have the ablility to re-claibrate based on signal output.
Dakota Digital does make a convertor and leatherman is correct, it has the capability to re-calibrate based on signal.
