step by step t56 swap!
i was also wondering if i can rebuild my 4+3 trans and od to be stronger or should i just swap it?
your two cents. Typical for Corvette forum.
The swap is very straight forward, and there is lots of information on it. It's very similar to the T5 swap:

Except you don't have to modify the shifter, you just need the offset
stick. Everything else in the swap is the same.

Yea, you're right Joe. I have no idea what I'm talking about. You have no idea who I am or what I have done. Notice he had to cut the shifter hole for the T5, you need to cut more for the T56.
I don't care what you have done or who you are. Don't answer people with crap when they ask for things, it's lame.

Well you didn't exactly do much better. He asked for a T56 and you came back with a T5 installation. So take your own advice.

1) A 1994-1997 T56 complete with bell housing, flywheel, clutch, and slave cyl out of an fbody
2) A cbeam adapter from pro-street performance
3) If your car is 85+ you'll need to shorten the driveshaft.
4) You'll need a offset shifter stick, such as hurst 538-8571
Follow the steps on the T5 swap. It's all pretty much the same, same rules apply. The shifter base won't need to be modified, just use the offset stick.
The T5 swap is about saving money (most of the 4+3 stuff carries over). The T56 swap can end up costing more than a ZF6 transplant.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Both got permabanned. Less info for CF....Do we get in trouble for referring people to other sites to where these guys (among others) can be found to help our members with questions?
Bring em back, all of em.

And the bracket from prostreet is a POS. Looks like the welds were done by a begineer in shop class. No penetration, slag all over the place. And a rattle can paint job to cover up the work.
im getting a little upset with some of the things goin on in some of these car sites, THIS IS A CAR SITE, NOT CHURCH, unless someone plans on ridiculing certain members then yes but when a person has so much info like cc,idk i just think some things are getting outa hand!
Go away waxer.

There is a place to buy a conversion kit for the T-56 swap.
It's Pro Street Customs. They also have that AFSB Bar. I ordered a bar last week for my 95. Hit their web site.
The swap looks to be pretty easy.
In the Kit from Pro Street Customs wasn't that good, then they do people keep ordring them?
don't trust everything you read. Call Tom from Pro Street Customs.
