Default Now we've started! :)

Finally got my hands on my Xmas corvette! Started it today after checking the engine/fluids/fuel

It going to be a long work in progress, I'll keep you updated but I'll be asking alot of questions so get ready with all that knowledge

Its got a lot of work needed but some things have already been changed, as you can see in the pictures the dash has gone, bose taken out and a few other things but the major thing I have found out is that previous owner has had the engine changed to a 'race' engine. Don't know what he means by that but how would I find out what engine model it has?

Thanks

p.s get ready for all the pics!......how do I post them btw

Any ideas how to tell what engine is inside it?

I also noticed that the fan is wired in to start when the ignition is turned on.. do you think maybe because its an export model? Will it do any damage?

Just above this thread is a toolbar, near the center click on other. On the dropdown, click member galleries. You will find many C4 pics to see what the car should look like.

Someone changed the instrument panel. The exhaust looks different. What year is it?

Beltline molding is typically black but appears to be body color in your pictures. That look's like its going to be a fun car

Its hard to tell much just from looking at it. The car is clearly not stock. It looks like a L98 car (Tuned Port Injection), but 84's have the L83 (Crossfire). If you open the hood (bonnet), you can tell what engine it is by the intake design. This is a crossfire...

This is Tuned Port Injection

The tach needle is stuck at 8 grand! Unless you had that "race engine" running WOT when you shot the photo.
