My front wheel bearings on my 96 have a little play in them, OK for street but I plan to Auto X this car & don't want any prob. w/Tech. My question is I was told that the same wheel bearings are used on the S-10 pick up, does anyone know if this is true? The best price that I found for a quality bearing for the Corvette is $298.00 from an auto parts store, anyone know of a better price any where? Thanks, Don
Don't know about the S-10 but you might read this thread. When I replaced a front bearing on my 87, I used a Timken?BCA #513019 bearing and it cost me about $150. The 91-96 bearings run a little more

Standard S10s had regular bearings where my Corvette has a bearing hub assembly. The Blazer Extreme has a hub assembly like the vette, but I have no idea if it will fit the vette.
I know this because I changed my S10 bearing and knuckle assembly over to the sealed hub assembly when I put larger Extreme front brakes on my truck.
**EDIT**
I looked up the pic on Ebay, the Extreme front bearing assembly is definitely different.

Hmm, so I understand what you are actually asking, I'll rephrase my first post and say that the S10 just has a regular inner and outer bearing that needs to be packed with grease every so often. The Blazer Extreme has the sealed hub does have the reluctor ring, but it is inside the sealed hub assembly. The picture of the corvette hub that I saw looked as if the reluctor ring was on the outside or the hub was some how able to be separated. Not sure if this is helping or not. Let me know.
