Default torque specs

im putting the tranny back in my car and was wondering what should i torque the flex plate to crank bolts at and the converter to flex plate bolts. my car is a 90 with the 700r4

My shop manuals are out in My shop.
It's a real pain in the butt to try to torque them to spec. The crank wants to turn and you can't really hold it by yourself. I use an impact gun and torque them a bit at a time until they stop moving easily. Criss-cross across them and torque like you would a set of lug-nuts. I've never broken anything and never had one come loose. I also use a little thread-locker on the bolts.
I hope this helps, I'll check the shop manuals in the AM.

Flex to crank: 60 ft. lbs.
Converter to flex: 35 ft. lbs.

good stuff....put the tranny in last night it only took 3 hrs which is way faster than taking it out. I had a friend helping me so between the two of use everything went real smooth......i am now on the way to the exhaust shop to have them repair the pesky broken exhaust bolts that are almost always inevitable.... I tightened the flex plate to crank at 55 and the converter to flex at 35 so...that shouldnt be to bad
