Default Throttle Body for Stealth Ram

Hello,

Looking to purchase a throttle body for our C3 Stealth Ram Project. The aftermarket 58mm TB... should that be purchased for a 92-97 GM LT1 or for a 85-92 TPI, which one fits?

The 85 to 92 will fit the best, you can make the later fit but the other is the correct unit.

It also depends on which ECM you are using. The newer LT1 throttle bodies don't have the vacuum fitting on the bottom needed for the timing of the EGR and charcoal cannister operation. The LT1 ECM controls when their operation is required. So if you are using a TPI ECM you must also use a TPI throttle body if you still need the EGR and charcoal cannister to function correctly.

I should have added that the engine on the car started life as a goodwrench 350... now its a carbed 377 stroker. We are adding the stealth ram. It uses accel fuel injectors and an accel aftermarket ecu. In any event I will go with the TB for the TPI.

You will need a correct throttle cable for the style TB you use.
