Strange Transmission Event
Last Sunday morning I was going to take my C4 out for a ride. It has been a couple of weeks since it has been driven and when I started it up, the automatic shifter would not shirt to reverse from park. The pushdown on the **** would not engage. I had to really rock the shifter in park to get it to move. After the car warmed up, it seemed to shift between park, reserve and drive just fine.
Transmission fluid seems OK - anybody got some ideas?

Just talked with Dub at Corvettes Etc in Charlotte and he believes I have a shifter issue since the **** is so hard to depress. Understand it is an act of Corvette Congress to get to it (plates, seats, carpet, etc) but better than a transmission in my book.

My '95 started doing the same thing last month. If it is warm outside I have no problem, but if it is cold outside the shifter needs to be "rocked" to engage.
Did you ever get this fixed? If so what was the remedy?
