optispark - check engine light???

Guys
anyone have this problem - changed out the opti on my 1993 and it runs absolutely great....then the Check engine light comes on with code 36....but it runs better than ever! I clear the codes but the light comes back on! Any suggestions?

Check the opti wire harness to make sure it has a good connection.

Might want to get the factory service manual out and troubleshoot the code. It should tell you where the problem is.

Make sure the wires are not damaged, no bent pins on wires and opti, no corrosion, ect.

Yes, check the connection to the opti. Also, check the connection to the engine wire harness.

well looks like I got lucky and ended-up with a BAD OPTI - it runs a bit then just quits, starts righ up and runs for a while then just stops...
well at least replacing it again should not take as long.....
