Porting Plenum??
I've read many of the threads about mods and many of them discuss "porting" the plenum, what exactly does this entail and what tools does it require? I'm taking my 85 apart to replace the fuel injectors and am wondering if this is something I can do while it is apart. If it needs to be sent out I would consider that also depending on the cost. Can anyone help?

Just for info: when I went thru this, extrude honing was mentioned. I researched it and found it was not worth the $. A quote of 650.00 was given for doing the upper, runners, and lower base. I did hand port my upper and lower stock peices. I ruined my lower base by porting too much. My suggestion would be to be conservative when removing material especially #5-#7 intake tracts. Did you see some of my previous posts on this topic?

I ported my plenum with a kit from Summit Racing. It's a small kit for Porting and polishing. All I used was a good variable speed drill and plenty of time & patience.
