FWIW, I am interested in the results of the heads, since I was seriously looking at them.

Those gonna work with your baseplate? Everyone I've talked to on TGO has had issues with the ports not lining up.

I mentioned in a previous post that the intake is going to be port matched.

Yeah I saw that but can it be matched?

Like, I don't want to rain on your parade, but some of the guys on TGO who used these heads, got to the intake part of the project and found that "no fing way" was the intake gonna work, then had to go out and buy a different intake.

I have not used the heads, but I know a guy who has a shop near mine and he went through about 2 months of hell trying to get it to work. I can show you the threads if you'd like.

I just dropped the heads and intake off at the machine shop. He assured me it'll work. He is going to be welding a 1/4" around the perimeter of the intake and then mill it down. that should take care of any sealing issues.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Most guys I've run into, have had to weld the tops and then gasket match them.

What's he charging you to do that btw? Most guys I knew found it to be not cost effective. By the time they got a super-ram base, or HSR base to work they could have bought a miniram and a case of beer

19 and a vette with a SC? You sound like me. I bought my first, an '85 when I was 18, and added some bolt-ons and dropped to the high 12s. Later modded a bit more (N2O) and dropped to 11.85. It was nerly 10 years till I got into the 9s with my '87.

BTW, my first car was a '66 Mustang that I still own. My dad swapped an old Ford truck for that car when I was 14, and none of my siblings wanted that one; 6 cylinder. They wanted the green '67 with a 289. I also own a '65 triple white, one owner prior to me, loaded A code convertible (needs restored).

It seems we all start somewhere with lesser cars and move to the Corvette. Sorry to get off topic, but I thought you could relate. BTW, Nice heads.

CRV3TT3

After reading your thread I'm confused or more curious.
Could you clear something up for me?
Which heads do you have?
You mention Skip White so I assumed you bought the heads from White Peformance.
I thought White's was selling the Freedom series Patriot heads which they describe as "New Super Pro Series".
In your first post you said they were the Super Steet heads.
Patriot does have a set of Super Street heads but I didn't think Whites Performance was selling them.

I'm not trying to discredit your thread and I hope I didn't come across that way. Just wanted to be sure I knew which heads I was reading about.

Good luck on your build. It sounds like it will work well for you.

Thanks.

Here is a link to the auction where i bought them...notice where it says they are 195cc compared to the 190cc of the freedom series.

This is the freedom series white performance head...

I see what you are saying but it's still quite confusing.
Other than the 190cc vs 195cc and the valve size the write ups are the same including their flow numbers.

Again, I'm not trying to make you look bad.
I bought these heads and I'm trying to figure out what I got or help you figure out what you got.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWN:IT&ih=016

My heads have patriot freedom series engraved on each end of each head. This would lead me to believe they are the 190cc heads but the ad clearly says 195cc.

I see now where it says 'freedom series engraved' on both the ones I bought and the 190's.
It doesn not say this on the ones you bought.

Either way, I would also love to know what your heads flow.
