I friend of mine just got one and looking for upgrades.
I own a C6 and I am not familiar with companies that make upgrade parts for them.
1. Performance Air Filter?
2. Ram Air System?
3. Long Tube Headers?
4. LT4 CNC heads?
Need brands and where to get them....
What are your thoughts on the LT4 Hot Cam Kit?
1. K&N filter with cut lid. You can either buy a kit, or just get the filter and cut the lid yourself. Really no difference performance wise. This may give you a few HP.
2. Not worth it. The SLP Claw system is popular and can be had for a couple hundred bucks, but there's no performance gain. Or that's what I've heard.
3. Exotic Muscle, Stainless Works, Hedman, Holley, TPIS all make good LT headers. Basically you just have to decide how much you want to spend. If you go LT headers, you'll have to get bullet cats, since the stock ones are much too big, and are displaced by the headers. Random Technology makes some nice ones.
4. LT4 heads are very nice, a mild port and polish and they will flow very nicely (as if they dont already...whatever). If you want to go aftermarket, AFR makes some nice heads. I'd go with the 195cc ones from their website.
HotCam: GREAT upgrade! From what I've heard, its one of the best things you can do to any LT-engine. I plan on adding one this summer, since I already have headers, exhaust, filter...
Also, don't forget the exhaust. There are many opinions here, but I have Corsa, which is the most expensive, but also sounds GREAT at WOT, and no resonsance, and pretty quiet cruising.
Mine runs very strong w/ the mods listed below in my sig. These are some of the most common LT4 upgrades ie. Hotcam, headers, gears, exhaust, TB, tune, CAI, S/T shifter etc...
AFR Heads expensive, but worth the $$$ if you want big power gains. The hot cam would also be a great upgrade at the same time, providing you don't have to worry about the smog police. The forced air induction works well. People are misinformed when they talk about performance gains because it does not reflect results on the dyno. The car needs to be moving forward to have noticable results as it work on "cold - forced air" moving into the engine. I'll have to find some pictures of mine to post for you.

The LT4 Hotcam is a good fit for LT1/4 with stock heads. However if you are having the heads CNC ported I would discuss the cam choice with the shop doing the work. Both Advanced Induction and LE do great work in the LT1 area and may do also do LT4.
I just had AI port a set of LT1 heads for me and have to say there are great to deal with.
Another header to look at is Melrose, but while the headers are A+ I would not use their exhaust system which is made by Random (fit issues)
