Default Vent vacuum lines

I have found the car uses vacuum lines to move the panel doors for venting in the car. In the midst of my rebuild, I will not be using the defroster in the top of the dash (89 coupe). Can I plug these lines since they are of no use to me anymore? I would think it would not have an effect on the rest of the vacuum system if I do this. Just wanting to make sure.

Thanks in advance

Your title throws me off

You can plug any vacuum line you like and not effect the overall vacuum system of the motor.

back to the title, venting vacuum lines is a horse of a different color.

If you found the vac line in the main harness going thru the passenger side firewall, there will be no prob.
It's just the one line, why not connect it?

Well, the entire dash is custom built and does not have the defroster anymore. But I had those lines and wanted to make sure everything still operated normally if those were plugged, which it sounds like they will.
