Default Please help me Americans, Radio problem etc

You who built this car, maybe can help me!

My car is a LT1 -95

I have an aftermarket Alpine stereo
After jumpstarted the car, the stereo wont turn on!
I have checked all the fuses in the panel, ans also the bigger fuses next to the battery!

I have removed the stereo and measured the cables. There is no power to the stereo ACC cable! (ign power) or POWER supply cable

The color of the ACC cable and continiuos POWER is pink and purple.

Is there any other fuses somewhere that i should look after?
Where does these cables turn up, see that they go down under the dash somewhere... But having difficulties locating them

Can also say that my analog gauges for oil temp and water temp is dead, also the low coolant varning lamp doesnt function (tried to change lamp, but it wont light up when ignition is turned on... seems odd, ) Where is coolant measurement located?

thanks in advance

Since you said you had an "Aftermarket" Alpine stereo, there is no way of knowing exactly how the previous owner wired it up.

It didn't leave the factory with an Alpine stereo. But most aftermarket unites do have their own little inline fuse holder on the power wire. You just need to trace it from the stereo unit back to where it connects to power.

There are two things you should check

1) Is there power in the power line?

If so, open the radio. Somtimes there are fuses located in the radio.

Double check the fuses, they sometimes appear to be good but aren't.

Im going to double check the fuses again

Hejssan Simon,

Have you also checked the fuses in all 3 fuse blocks? Also the aux fuse blocks or only the main? In -91 there is 2 aux fuse blocks with 4 fuses each. One is located at passenger foot well and the other one might be there too (not sure now, too long since I looked). Aux block #2 has a radio fuse. This might apply to your car or not. And it all depends on how the previous owner made the wiring.

In earlier cars the coolant temp sensor is in the passenger side block, don't know if that is true for -95 though.
