Default IAC question?

The FSM suggests use a thread lock compound when changing the IAC valve but does not state which, any one know?

Thanks

I've removed / replaced the IAC many times without thread lock or sealant with no problems. Make sure and use the gasket though.

Don't use threadlocker the IAC valve is soft and you can screw it up.The gasket will take care of any possible leaks.

gasket?

I've been having a bit of an idle problem with my LT4, and I don't think there's any gasket on the IAC valve. Where do I get said gasket?

It is very thin but there is a new one included with the new valve and it is shown in the FSM, but mine's a L-98!

No thread lock on the IAC. Just the round gasket. If you purchase a new IAC the gasket will be included. You will have to use gasket paper to make a new gasket if you need just the gasket because they are not sold seperately anywhere.
