Heater Hose Blockoff

I'm going to temporarily block off my heater core until I have time to replace it. Does anyone know offhand the sizes of the adapter piece needed to attach the in and out hoses of the heater core together so that the core is bypassed? Thanks.

My 1989 heater hoses are 5/8" I D. That is pretty standard.

On my 88 the top is 3/4" and the bottom is 5/8"

I have an "89 coupe. Advanced auto parts has a heater bypass coupling that works great. Its in the section with all the heater hose clamps etc. I am doing the same as you

On mine, top one is 3/4" and bottom is 5/8".

Worked great! I bypassed the heater core yesterday. Hopefully the interior will stop smelling like antifreeze. It'll be in the 70's all week so I shouldn't need my heater anyway. The high today is 77.... gotta love those Texas winters.
