Default hotcam kit, ewp, cloyes double install. help please?

Im tackling all this in the next couple days and was just looking for advice or things to be aware of.

where can I find torque specs for everything?
what is the best sealant to use on the intake manifold?
Ive never done valve springs before. do I need to use shims with the hotcam kit?

Im sure I will have lots of questions soon!

thanks ahead of time for any and all help!

1) Factory Service Manual
2) Right Stuff (yes, that's the name of it)
3) Depends

How do I find it if shims are required? I believe they came with the kit. should I just use them?
Do I need to take the passenger motor mount out and jack that side of the engine up to remove the cam?

You will probably need shims to get an even installed height on all of the valve springs. However, some just install the springs and don't worry about installed height. You'll also need new valve seals if you shim the springs.

If shims came with the kit, more than likely they are the same valve seats/locators as you already have on your heads.

The kit comes with shims--use them. The kit does not come with valve stem seals--install new ones. Good luck.
