Try pushing down on the passenger side of the hood over the hood latch. see if the hood moves up and down.

good idea bill thanks,sounds like its coming from under dash.any fix if its hood latch?

Mine does the same thing, I sounded like it was under the glove box. I ripped everything out of there, cant find anything that can be ratteling. I pushed down on my hood and it does move down, I think that is the noise. I suppose you could try to adjust the hood latch to bring the hood down a tad. I dont know though, I have not tried doing anything myself.

I have read some other posts about people messing with the hood latches, sounds like it is really hard to get the things loose.

My 94 did the samething. I not only pushed on the hood, but while driving everytime I heard the rattle I looked at the hood on that side, and could see it vibrating. The fix is quite simple. It took me maybe 15-20 mins. with a pair of slip joint pliers and a box wrench. :cheers:
