Thanks man.

I think it'll go pretty deep into the 11's on a better day, especially if I up it to the 150 shot. Like I said, I was down 3 MPH from my previous best NA, so there is still quite a bit on the table.

I have a converted LT1 intake for it, but I haven't gotten around to putting it on yet.

With any luck, on a 150 shot, I might be the fastest stock TPI intake car there is.

Thanks, it does run pretty good.

It only made 230 RWHP with long tubes and no tune, so I don't think it's a factory freak. After I tuned it, it made 261, then 270 once I added 1.6 roller rockers.

The 4-5 shift does suck, but hopefully I'll swap out the intake soon and be able to rev it past 4800.
Josh, I went 12.995 with my iron head tpi with the stock tb along with the rest being stock. It is a great accomplishment, not many people wait on the tpi it is usually yanked early on - we had very similar 60' times on the 12.9 runs
My best N20 run was 11.77 with iron head tpi

as for us having freaks, maybe, but I know you have a ton of passes and I did also - it makes a difference from a street night runner 1-2x's a year
if you gonna do the 150 shot, try it a couple times with out purging so you dont snap something the first run you'll get a good mph on top

Back in '91, a buddy of mine had a '90 Corvette automatic with a few bolt on mods and a 150 shot of N20. He launched the car repeatedly on Mickey Thompson slicks, hitting the bottle right off the line and the rearend held up no problem. However, it spun for the first 20 feet or so. Oh yeah, it ran 11.98 @ 114 with that setup. A whole lot faster than the 5.0 Mustangs of the day.

That's stout, especially for an iron head car. I give a slight nod to you because you have an auto, but 12.9 is rolling for sure.

I think that's the bogie. I haven't found anyone faster, so until I outrun that time, consider yourself the record holder!

I hear ya. People get on here and read about our times, head to the track for the first time expecting to run low 13's, then get really frustrated when the car goes 14.50's all night. It takes some time and practice to really get the ET out of the car.

It's not really a question of if it's more of when I do the 150 shot, lol. My car seems to get a pretty fat fuel spike without a purge, and it normally back fires just a tad into the intake and bogs a bit. That would kill my 60 time, and the small backfire could cause some pretty serious problems so I think I'll just purge it and let her rip!

For the guy who asked, my car has 4.10's in the back. I end up shifting into 5th gear about 3/4 of the way down the drag strip because of it. With the stock gears the car might have been a tad faster in the 1/4 mile because I could of hung on to 4th gear all the way across the finish line. I plan to swap out my intake here pretty soon, that'll give me another 1500 usable RPM in each gear, so I should be able to leave it in 4th after that. That alone is probably worth a tenth or so, but I'm hoping for a reduction of .3 to .5 after the intake swap.
