Anyone installed a C5 kit on a C4? I'm presently rebuilding my '87 Vert and had thoughts of going with the C5 look. Thanks

Youre gonna get ragged on for it...sorry I didnt answer your question. There have been old topics on it and most people had nothing but negative things to say about the C5 kit on a C4 body.
Good Luck!

It doesn't look right at all. The proportions are wrong and the hood on a C5 is much smaller and not of the clamshell design. The interior would have to be switched but would still not match even if it was done very well.

Realistically, selling the C4 and buying a C5 is a much cheaper ordeal. With that you get the new tech, more HP, better mpg, etc. It also is correct, and when you are done with the C5, someone will buy it.

I've seen a 94 with the C5 bumper. It looked awful and the owner installed some "CORVETTE" letters and that looked even worse.

Use the money for upgrades. exhaust, brakes etc.

I do have some C5 wheels for C4s For $ale if you are interested

Don't do it, it's a tacky idea. I've never seen one in person but I've seen pictures and can't imagine why anyone would want to do that to their car. Anyone with any knowledge on the C4 or C5 will be able to tell it aint real.

there was a ''morphed'' C4 at the ''vettes at the beach'' show a couple of years ago, it WAS the ''joke'' all over the grounds...there is also a C4 in this area with the whole front clip transplanted from an 89 firebird and it gets higher marks from those who have seen both cars.

I saw a couple at Carlisle, and the fit and finish were terrible.

Why ask?

It's your car so if you like the look then then do it.

I have seen the pictures and don't think it looks that bad at all.

I see 10 no's and 1 yes.
That should tell you that your car when finished won't be worth the money you put into converting it.

That being said, go ahead and do it. It will do nothing but help my resale value.

i have nothing but negative on just about ANYTHING bolted to the body of a C4.

C4 bodykit-crap is truly fugly enough. worse yet is "posing" -- you're not driving a C5 so don't go around trying to fool others that you are. this is the type of thing teens trap themselves into -- its about falsetto "looks" and not real "go". then they grow up and wish they never wasted their money on such foolishness. back to reality -- when you're discovered and called out for it, you're gonna go runnin' with your tail between your legs -- and you darn well should. if you don't learn to run, it's us that will be there to make sure you do -- just so you never do something so stupid to a car again.

simple answer: don't even consider it. spend the thousands $$ if you must, on what counts -- under the hood. god knows, the base C4 desperately requires a performance upgrade.
