The digital speedometer on my 1992 c-4 finally went out.It had been intermitent since I acquired the auto a couple of months ago. This instrument also has the odometer and other fuel consumption readouts. The panel lights up but I'm not getting any readouts.Ive checked the fuses and took out the cluster and checked the connector pins and receptacle and all were in good shape.I also jacked up the car and checked the speedo signal generator and it's connector for security.
I've not checked for codes yet but will tomorrow. I've looked over several hundred posted questions on your tech support but did not find anything about this problem for my particular year model.May I please get some help/directions in trouble-shooting this problem? Thank you.

Ditto on Batee site. My 84 cluster went dark and required resolder of board tall connector pins and bridge on inop photo-cell--did this couple days ago. And, when I bought my 88 convertible the cluster went completely dead when I pulled in the driveway. As always, always suspect a bad ground--cleaned and tightend engine-to-frame braided ground strap--instant bright, beautiful display. That was two years ago and still bright, beatiful display. LOL Bill
Javier, I know how frustrating electrical issues can be on these cars. I should have mentioned that I also have a 90 which the fuel gauge would read incorrectly or simply stick forever on 1/4 tank--right after repairs from being broadsided. In our case, the fuel level sender was bent from impact and would stick. Once straightend, all worked fine. My point is that it kinda sounds like a sensor signal issue--generators can go bad too.
