Default Injector length question

I picked up a set of used L98 injectors last year and finally got around to putting them on my '90 with the Multechs.
After popping the fuel rails and replacing the injectors, I was not able to get all 4 injectors to stay seated in the rail or manifold
I pulled them out and put the old against the new and the replacements were shorter. O-ring to O-ring on the Multechs is 65mm. Length on the replacements, and others I have checked into, is 60mm.
Has anyone else run into this problem before?
Because I had several dying multechs, I had to make them work. I now have 2 replacements on the rear passenger side and 2 on the drivers side front. This was the only way to move the fuel rails enough to keep the o-rings in place without leaks. It does work, but I'm sure my flow rates and spray patterns are all screwed up.
Any ideas? Thanks

They should work without problems. The intake manifold and fuel rail are the same throughout the years. Did you use the injector clips to hold the injectors to the fuel rail? Did you send them off for testing/cleaning?

When replacing mine, I was told the injectors would go in without the clips. I couldn't get them to stay seated in the manifold/fuel rail without the clips.

With the clips in place on the replacements, there was not enough length to keep the o-ring in the manifold. I had to remove the clips and gently pry the injector down until the bottom o-ring locked in. This left me with enough seal at the top to prevent leakage but the positioning of the rails would not allow me to do this except for 2 on each side.

Does anyone have an old injector that they will measure from o-ring to o-ring? I'd appreciate any info you can share.
