When I put the auto in my 96 I made my stock bracket accept a kickdown cable so it goes from the TB to the transmission. The TV cable was off a LT1 Z28 from the dealer for around $25. Then you should be able to use the throttle cable listed above.
RichS, Do you have any photos that show how you did it? As I understand it, you used the Lt1 Z28 throttle cable and the Z28 TV cable?
Can you turn of the ASR in the computer with Tunerpro and then just run a new cable?
Well not exactly. It's actually not a PCM function.
It's a function of the CCM and ABS computer itself I believe.
But, if you get rid of the cable itself then the system can't retard throtte but it could still retard spark and fuel.
I'm redoing the complete brake system on my car so I got rid of everything related to ASR or ABS including the ABS sensors themselves, but my car is not a daily driver and never sees rain, not sure if I would do it on a daily driver or not.
I didn't know the CCM and the ABS could control the spark and fuel through the PCM? I wonder if that is one of the hard coded things that cannot be altered by tunerpro. I know there is a place to select it on or off.

Yep!
No way to turn that off through the PCM itself that I have seen. I think Tunercat has a traction control toggle but I think that only applies to Fbodies - I don't think it does jack on a Vette
Sorry to take so long getting back with the part no. but here it is. GM 12550676. As someone already said, Its from a F body.
As far as hooking back up the TV cable, can anyone say how the 85-91 hook up? If it is directly to the TB you may be able to use one from that era.
Also, You will loose cruise control when eliminating the ASR

Thanks for the cable part number. I hadn't thought about the 85-91 TV hook up. When was the "460" transmission first used? No problem with the cruise. I never use it any way. Just one thing to get out of the way.
