Need Chip
Will a 27C256 chip work in my stock 89 computer?
If not, where can I find a 27C128? I don't see any at Digikey or Mouser.

Re: Need Chip (White Lightning 89)
You can. There are a few things you gotta do. A search over at thirdgen.org will provide a lot of posts like this one.

Too bad I have to send you over to the thirdgen sight and I can't send you over to a corvetteforum.com/forums/promburning...

you can use a 256 prom, you just need to 'double up' the binary code before programming. You can do this in a dos prompt by typing:
copy file.bin + file.bin newfile.bin /b

Ah, the joy of youth. A normal college day for me starts at 8 am and ends at 4 am. Breaks up the monotony of my Thermoddynamics HW :D Otherwise, I would have to turn to the bottle  -Matt-

That's interesting...I always use -
copy /b file.bin+file.bin newfile.bin
...(with no spaces before/after the +)...
Both ways work...
...Interesting... :D
...(I should never doubt Craig!)...
